About Six Foot Stilts
SixFootStilts mission is to empower our listeners through music that elevates the soul and inspires adventure.
With a dynamic range of sounds and a commitment to artistic uniqueness, we create songs that are both playful and meaningful. Each track is an invitation to explore new horizons and embrace the fun in every beat.
SixFootStilts emerged from the challenges of the Covid pandemic, transforming obstacles into opportunities. Sly, JawnyB, and Lote, former members of Return to Zero, harnessed their resilience and creativity to craft music together despite being physically apart. With Sly leading the charge, they ventured into the world of “in-the-box” music creation, empowering each other to evolve and grow.
In 2021, they embarked on the journey of creating the album Big Gougho, followed by Kleiner Schluck in the summer of 2022. These projects laid the foundation for a dynamic and adventurous approach to music. By winter 2022, they reached a pivotal moment, deciding to focus on themed albums, setting the stage for their transformation into SixFootStilts.
Their first themed album, Artifacts & Interludes, launched in early 2023, exploring the theme of Artificial Intelligence and its societal impact. This project pushed them to delve deep into research, connecting the dots between technology and music. Their unique and artistic vision continued with UAP, a deep dive into the UFO phenomenon, inspired by ongoing congressional investigations and personal curiosity.
The rustic setting of Sly’s studio, Fox’s Den, provided the perfect backdrop for their creative endeavors, infusing their work with a playful and fun spirit. By late 2023, they embraced the theme of myth, magic, and monsters, resulting in the album Rabbit Shtu – Myth, Magic, Monsters & Hi-Strangeness. Lote’s fascination with rabbits added a whimsical touch to their music, showcasing their ability to blend seriousness with fun.
Their next project, Under the Big Top, explored the circus and carnival lifestyle, experimenting with new sounds and characters. This album highlighted the playful yet dark aspects of their music, cementing their reputation for innovative storytelling.

As the band outgrew their Return to Zero roots, they realized the need for a new identity. With JawnyB’s leadership, they rebranded as SixFootStilts, establishing a fresh start that reflected their evolved sound and vision. This website is a testament to their commitment to developing their fanbase and sharing their creative journey with the world.
As of July 2024, SixFootStilts is in the final stages of completing their latest project, Say What?. It is slated for release late early 2025.
They are excited to share the material recorded over the past couple of years, and eager to see where their adventure takes them next.
