Snowbanks still think it’s winter, but we’re calling it: spring is here. Guitars slung, heads high, elbows up — ready to shove the season into motion with a grin and a riff.
At SixFootStilts, this April feels like a crossroads — or maybe a slingshot. We’re shaking off winter’s last stubborn cling and hurtling headfirst into the wild chaos of closing one album while scheming the next. Right now, we’re deep in the messy magic: polishing vocals, wrestling basslines into place, and weaving in a few final sonic spells to make sure every track sparks like it’s alive. Some days, we’re architects. Other days, it’s full-blown cat rodeo. (Spoiler: both are fun.)
And about those “elbows up” —
That’s not just a pose, it’s a whole mood. It’s the gritty, grinning defiance every Canadian learns just to survive March. It’s the same spirit we’re threading through these songs — bold, mischievous, and completely unwilling to sit still.
Even as this album sprints toward the finish line, the next adventure is already scratching at the door. We’re tossing around ideas stitched from contradictions, curiosities, and delightful chaos — like a soundtrack for a world where thunder waltzes with lullabies, and everything makes perfect, ridiculous sense. No spoilers yet (where’s the fun in that?), but trust us — it’s gonna be a ride.
We’ll share more soon. But for now, picture this:
A world where silence shouts louder than any storm, bittersweet moments belt out anthems, and whispered truths hit harder than any scream. Sounds like our kind of playground, doesn’t it?
Thanks for running wild with us.
Stay curious. Stay rebellious. Stay six feet above the ground.
JawnyB.
