Season’s Greetings & Gratitudes

As the year draws to a close, we want to take a moment to extend a simple, heartfelt thank you from Sly, Lote, and myself JawnyB.

December naturally invites both celebration and reflection. It’s a time when we pause to enjoy moments with family, friends and community, to celebrate and just be together. Wherever you find yourself this season, we hope it brings connection, warmth, and some space to appreciate the rhythms of your own year.

Music has always been our way of making sense of life’s rhythms. It isn’t commentary or conclusion so much as interpretation a way of listening, responding, and honoring complexity.

Revisiting Manifestation
As we look back on our creative path, we’re preparing to release an album that represents a meaningful turning point for us.

Later this month (possibly into the New Year) we will be releasing Manifestation, an album originally recorded in Fall of 2022, before we formally became Six Foot Stilts.

At the time of recording, we were still known as Return To Zero (RTZ). It wasn’t until January 1, 2023 that we transitioned to the SixFootStilts name. While the album Artifacts & Interludes (AI) was our first themed album, Manifestation was the project that set us on the thematic path in the first place. As we were writing and recorded it, something shifted in how we could approach a collection of songs not just as standalone pieces, but as part of a unified exploration.

Releasing it now feels like closing a meaningful loop and honoring the moment where a creative direction first became visible.

This time of year, isn’t about big declarations for us. It’s about continuity: acknowledging beginnings, honoring evolution, and grounding ourselves in what matters most: the work, the collaborations, and the people who choose to listen.

Part of my own year-end reflection has been thinking about how creativity and technology intersect especially in music. I wrote a short article about this on that touched on the subject. If you’re curious about that conversation, you can read it here:

From a SixFootStilts perspective – there is more coming. New material is already taking shape. But for now, December is for celebration, reflection, gratitude, and perspective.

To our friends, family, longtime listeners, and those just discovering our music thank you for being part of this chapter, in whatever way that may be.

We wish you a peaceful holiday season and a steady start to the New Year.

With gratitude,

JawnyB
