A Fresh Coat of Paint — and a New Way to Discover Our Music

November brought a meaningful upgrade to the SixFootStilts website. Not just a sleeker look, but a smarter way for listeners to dive into our catalogue.

The highlight of the refresh is the brand-new Featured Song section on the homepage.

This rotating spotlight lets us showcase one track at a time from anywhere in our discography, paired with a short write-up on how it came to be, the theme behind it, the story that sparked it, or the creative quirks that shaped it.

It’s a simple way for new visitors to step into our world without feeling overwhelmed, and for longtime listeners to rediscover moments across our themed albums.

Over time, the Featured Song will draw from all corners of the Stilts catalogue, including:

  1. Oxy’s Morons (newly uploaded)
  2. The Occult Renaissance
  3. OMG
  4. Say What?
  5. Under the Big Top
  6. Island of Misfit Songs
  7. Rabbit Shtu – Magic, Myth, Monsters & High Strangeness
  8. UAP
  9. Artifacts & Interludes

This new structure gives each album a clear place to live on the site and gives listeners a single front-door track to jump in from, no matter where they start.

Oxy’s Morons Is Now Live on the Site

The other big addition this month is one that many of you have been waiting for:

Oxy’s Morons is now fully uploaded and streaming directly from the SixFootStilts website.

This album marked another turning point for us creatively, a strange, sharp, playful dive into contradictions, tensions, and the oddities of modern life. Having it available on the site means listeners can finally move through the songs the way we intended: front-to-back, uninterrupted, and wrapped in the aesthetic of the new design.

With the redesigned layout, finding it is easier than ever.

One click, and you’re in.

This also means our Featured Song will occasionally pull from Oxy’s Morons, giving each track its moment in the spotlight as we rotate through the catalogue.

SoundCloud Streams are Gaining Momentum

This summer marked a big turning point in how our music reaches listeners.

For many months, we only had one album, a teaser, Artifacts & Interludes uploaded to SoundCloud and linked on our website. Everything else lived quietly on hard drives, waiting for the “radio-ready” moment that always seemed just around the corner.

That changed a few months ago.

I made the decision to upload our entire discography—every themed album, every quirky project, every collection we’ve created over the past several years—straight onto SoundCloud and integrate them directly into the refreshed website.

Almost immediately, we started to see the difference.

Listeners weren’t just dropping in and leaving.

They were exploring.

Clicking through albums.

Sampling tracks.

Revisiting familiar tunes.

And sharing more than we expected.

The momentum really picked up again with the recent upload of Oxy’s Morons, and we’re happy to share that we’ve now surpassed 43,000 total streams on SoundCloud. For an indie band releasing our work independently (mostly to a small, loyal circle)  that number feels both surreal and energizing.

We’re also reaching back into our archives and plan to release Manifestation later this year. Between that release and the continued traction from Oxy’s Morons, we’re quietly hoping to break the 50,000-stream mark. Fingers crossed we’ll see where the music takes us.

A quick note for listeners:

All the songs currently on SoundCloud are demo versions meaning that they’re not fully mixed or mastered for “radio-ready” release just yet. We chose to put them up anyway, because frankly, we’d rather have people enjoy the music now instead of waiting another year for everything to be polished to perfection.

The demos are stream-only on SoundCloud (not available for download). But if you really want them reach out to us and we will see what we can do..

As each album becomes fully mixed and mastered, we’ll be moving to a separate platform where you’ll be able to listen and download individual songs or full albums.

For now, SoundCloud is our way of opening the door. And judging from the streams, many of you are stepping through and taking the journey with us.

Looking Ahead

With the website refreshed and our full catalogue finally available to stream, November has given us a real sense of forward motion. And while we’re continuing the mixing and mastering work behind the scenes, we’re definitely not slowing down creatively.

In fact, we’re already knee-deep into our next themed album:

WooWoo & VooDoo

This one is shaping up to be a playful, mysterious, slightly surreal journey into the strange, spiritual, and supernatural corners of modern life. A direction that feels both fresh and very “Stilts.” If all goes to plan, listeners will start hearing tracks and teasers in Q1 of 2026.

So while the website gets its polish and the demo streams keep climbing, the creative engine is very much running. More songs, more stories, and more sonic adventures are on the way.

Thanks for listening, exploring, and supporting the ride.
