Tricksters, Storms & Studio Vibes

If this winter has taught us anything, it’s how to shovel.

We’ve had a record-breaking amount of snow this season — the kind where you clear the driveway and by morning it looks like you never touched it. And just when it feels like we might be turning a corner, there’s another storm forecast for mid-March.

Classic.

March is supposed to signal the shift toward spring. Instead, we’re still digging out.

And in a funny way, that mirrors where we are musically right now.

Studio Shuffle

With Sly moving later this spring, Green Grove Studio is now quiet. For the moment, that’s slowed the pace on the current album.

Sly is still working out of Foxes Den in the Algonquin Highlands, but winters comings and goings up there isn’t exactly convenient. Snowbanks, long drives, unpredictable weather… it makes everything a little more challenging this time of year.

So things have slowed a bit…

And sometimes that’s not a bad thing.

Songs sit. Ideas breathe. Perspective sharpens.

March Moments

March carries its own symbolism:

• March 15 — The Ides of March

• March 17 — St. Patrick’s Day

• March 20/21 — The Spring Equinox

Equal light and dark. A reset point before momentum builds again.

Feels about right.

Featured Song: Me Lucky Charms

With St. Paddy’s Day around the corner, we’re featuring “Me Lucky Charms.”

It’s our mischievous leprechaun anthem… Guinness, jigs, cereal-box fame, and even a nod to D.B. Cooper all wrapped into one impish grin.

You can have all my gold…  But not me Lucky Charms.

Give it another spin this month.

Playlist Rolls On

Last month’s featured playlist stays in rotation for March. The feedback was strong, and sometimes songs hit differently depending on the season, especially when you’re listening while staring at a four-foot snowbank.

Spring officially arrives March 21.

Whether the snow agrees or not.

We’ll be back in full session mode soon enough. For now, we shovel, we plan, and we let the next phase take shape.

Stay warm.
